I'm trying to recreate the travel demo page at http://www.activeplay.tatewebdesign.com/ using child theme,
but can't see where or how to get rid of the sky background pic which is underneath the header ?

I was wondering why the Splash link is in public view, and how do I remove it ?

Hi,

to get the same header style as on our Be|Travel demo, you must choose "Header below slider" style.

Hope this will help you a lot

I tried that and you will see the background is now above the header so I am no better off !

Also can you tell me how I remove the Splash link?

ah, I've just seen that minimalist header will achieve that effect, so now i'm just left with the splash issue

Of course I should have realised it is a simple menu item that can be set from menu locations. Now fixed.

Nice theme, I'm looking forward to learning how to use it.

Hi again, thank you for previous speedy responses.

I seem to be missing something here. I've installed a demo theme (tourist) and now would like to do basic tweaks such as change the body bg image, but cant see where do do that. I've been looking in documentation and see that there is a "SPECIAL ITEM - "SECTION"

This is totally new item which gives you lot`s of possibilities with creating pages. Now you can split each page, post or portfolio item for sections. Section is a part of page and can have own settings. Please take a look on image next to."

Where is this please ?

Confused but looking forward to getting into the theme ..

I see that the theme I'm using is boxed, so I can change the bg image which is good :-)

Is it possible to change the bg image in full width mode ? And as before can you tell me where I find the Special Item section ?

Basically for this sections we use FULL HD size - 1920 x 1080px.

Can you tell me how to change the colour of the top menu bar please (it's white I think on all your demos, where the logo and main nav is )

Excellent, so easy when you know how ! Whilst I'm at it it would be useful to have the code for changing the colour f the top left action bar (phone & email). I now I can change his by changing the link colour sitewide, but this could cause problems elsewhere in the site.
