using Hotel2 with Simple Header: gap at top of header; how to add background color?

I installed this theme locally and ran into some issues to I reinstalled it on my host's server and am running into the same issues.

Using full width layout, Hotel2 demo, and Simple Header. I have three issues:
1.  I'm not able to see in the settings where to set the header background color and/or opacity. I'm sure it's in there and I've missed it;
2. I targeted #Top_nav {background-color....} using custom css. Is this correct?
3. When I add the #Top_nav background color via custom css, I'm  getting a 61px gap above the header.
This is a screenshot of what I'm getting:
showing 61px gap at top.

This is a screenshot of header layout I'd like to accomplish:

  • Hi,

    1. Header background color can be set under Theme options > Colors > Header section. However, if you want to set transparency, then you need to use custom css because such option is not included. Please also remember that CUSTOM skin must be selected if you want to use custom colors.

    2. What for this css is exactly? If you will send us link to page where you did it, we will be able to have a look on it.

    3. Any link to that page?
