If I change theme background color via theme option that applies also body of home page. I want to change background color only background area that means outside of the 960px boxed blog area. How can I fix it?

But outside you have background image so we don`t understand where you want to change color exactly. Please explain or send us screenshot with explanation so we can be sure which section you mean exactly.
