Google Analytics: How to?

Greetings,

I have tried a couple of options for adding the GA tracking code to each page of the website including: 

1.  adding the tracking code, provided by GA to the text section of each page (doesn't track)

2. Creating a plugin and adding that via Cpanel to plugins (that completely corrupts the entire website and i need to request a data restoration of the whole site)

Please can someone tell me how to add the GA tracking code to all the pages of my website?

 (PS: I'm not a developer - rather the owner of the company, so simple answers would be greatly appreciated)

Google Analytics code need to be added under Theme options > SEO section.
