W3C Compliance

Hi I am trying to validate my site for W3C compliance.

I  notice that there are a lot of errors picked up by the check. I understand that good validation = good code and Google favour for SEO.

I ran a quick check just on your default theme layout demo and it has 10 errors!

Kind regards,
Giles

  • Hi Giles,

you are definitely wrong. If you check the link you pasted above, you will see that it's completely stupid or even for some people would be funny what this tool is displaying. Like any other tools, this one also got bugs and is unable to separate bugs from properly coded things. So we can say that above link contain 0 (yes, zero) errors. Everything is coded just as supposed to be coded.
  • Hi,

Thank you for your clarification. The issue was discovered by a customer of mine. I will pass on your feedback. I did notice that W3C came out in 2009. The web has evolved a bit since then i guess.
  • Yes, exactly. 7 years is a huge gap for developing.
