theme update not uploading

WordPress v: 4.5.2

I have uploaded betheme.zip to wordpress to update the theme but dont know if im doing it right, since i have obtained an error message. "Fallo en la instalación del tema", which means "theme installation error".

Before i venture myself to try again, i wanna make sure im doing it correctly.

Have downloaded the zip, of which i have selected only the betheme.zip file from add themes 

and clicked upload.

and then install

Is this correct to update the theme or am i doing something wrong?

If it is correct, then do you recommend to deactivate all plugins and try again?

If you mean the error message, i gave you the translation right after the error message in spanish. THEME INSTALLATION ERROR

But this can not be true. Such message like just "Theme Installation Error" can not be truth. There should be more details why is that exactly.

perhaps im uploading the wrong file, or god knows, that is why im asking you.

the file im uploading is "betheme.zip", within betheme-premium-wordpress-theme/

the full error message is: 

the folder already exists /home/coachcoa/public_html/wp-content/themes/betheme/

theme installation error (or failure, if you prefer)

If you upload betheme.zip then it's a good file. Looks like betheme folder already exists on your FTP and that's why it can not be uploaded again. You need to remove existing folder from FTP first before new upload.

Alright. Then the theme must be updated via FTP.
