child or parent?

Hi,

I have some css code in the style sheet and I think I am also going to use some css code on some pages and/or posts.

When I update the theme do I also loose the code in the pages and the posts or only in the main style sheet if I use the parent?

And what do you recommend for me, should I use with the information above the child or the parent?

Hi,

we use parent theme only and we did never lost anything. If you do right, you won't lose anything. We use parent theme but all custom css's we keep in Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section. All these settings are stored in database so you won't lose anything even after files update.
