So I ran into this problem with my client.

Is it possible to have it to crop the images directly in the portfolio, instead of using an image editing software. So every image fx. is fixed to 600px 600px and then when you upload an image it will show inside this frame. The client doesn't have a image editing service, so everytime they have a new artist I have tol crop the images for them. That was not really the point with the CMS system.

yes, you can set hard crop for the images under Theme options > Blog, Portfolio & Shop > Featured Image section.

Thanks a lot! I have another question. I use the revolution slider and it works perfect and looks good on my computer but on mobile it doesn't look very well. Where do I change fonts size and positioning on mobile devices?

You can't unfortunately because Slider Revolution adjust slider on mobile themselves.
