How to make column go full width

Hi guys,

I would like the navy blue graphic of squares next to the 'about us' section on the home page to be full width with the page. Is this possible?

As we can see, it's an image which is set on the left side and that's why can not be full width. If you want it to be full width, you need to set it up as section's background.
