Limit Post Media Grid items on mobile

Hello,  I am using a post media grid and I am wondering if there is any way to limit the amount of items on the home page for mobile vs desktop?  Instead of scrolling through all the images on mobile, maybe being able to click an arrow to go from image to image or buttons underneath?
