Recent Posts widget to open in new window

I've moved the widget-recent-posts.php file to the child theme directory, but my change isn't taking effect. If that's not the right way to do it, can you please explain how I can get the posts that are displayed in the recent posts widget to open in a new window?

Hi,

that's not right of course. Child theme works only with functions.php file and you can not move files just like that. We recommend to read official WP doc at https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes and if you still don't understand it, you should contact with your web developer. Or if you don't have any, we can give you contact to one who is good and offer such customization.
