Color Sidebar Content

Hi,

 I'm trying to change the color of the text in the sidebar.

I'm using the Muffin recent posts widget, the text is the same color as the content color (white) and there is also a white background and hover link in sidebar.

Is there a way to remove the background and hover link color?
