my server blocks the automatic upload of demo data...which is very frustrating. Please help me manually upload demo data so I can pick a template.

    What is exactly happening? Your server does not support wp_remote_get() function which is default WP's function? If that's what you mean, it means your server is simply not Wordpress ready. Please notice that we do not use any special except the functions provided by Wordpress API. BTW There is no way to upload pre-built websites manually. It's just technically impossible.
