Adding space in a column so an image appears at the top and at the bottom of the column

Greetings-

The site I am working on:  http://dev1.lcap.org/

I have a column to the right of the slider.  I have an imbedded iframe at the top and I would like to show the two images (the donate and volunteer images) at the bottom of the column closer to the bottom of the slider.  I have tried to use % instead of px for some of the margins but % does not seem to work.  If I use pixels then when the screen become responsive it throws the alignment WAY off.

Any guidance would be a great help.
