Making a top level menu item stand out

Hi all,

First post to the forum here:)

Do you know how to get a single top level menu item to display
differently using a CSS class(or other method)? For instance
having that all important "Donate/Contribute" button in yellow or red. There
doesn't seem to be a way to achieve that through the UI settings.

Note I would takeaway the yellow highlight if I were able to do this.

Thanks,

Andy

  • Hi Andy,

to color individual menu items differently, you need to set different class names for menu items under Appearance > Menus section (if there is no such option, please activate it under Screen Options section in the right top corner) and then under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section, you need to write custom css for those elements.
