Hi, I've messed up the "Home" page in the Betheme Good Food template. I can't find a way to upload a new copy, through Wordpress admin panel or ftp software.
you can not upload just one page. You need to clear Wordpress and do the import once again. To remove all data, you need to use Wordpress Reset plugin. But please remember that this plugin removes all data, like: pages, posts, settings, etc. Your Wordpress would be again as clear as after first installation.
No way, I really need to reset EVERYTHING because a bit of code is wrong? Can I not get the code from somewhere and paste it into the messed up page in text view?
If you don't want to reset everything, you need to contact with your admin/hosting provider and ask for a backup from the time when everything was fine. Each admin should keep such backups for security reasons. Please notice that we do not have any place to get the codes for individual pages.
Listen, all I need is the original Betheme Good food "home" page content/text, so I can cut and paste it back into the home page I've messed up the code for. It's YOUR code that you've written and included in the Betheme Good Food demo website which I've paid for and have on my computer. Where is the code in the downloaded text, it must be there, it can't be creating itself magically!!!
We are listening you for all the time but looks like you are not listening us at all. Do you understand that we do not have any magically method to import just one page? We just don't have anything like this. Only complete pre-built layouts can be imported. Or what you can also do is create an extra Wordpress instance (under sub-domain, sub-folder or whatever) where you can do the import of whole demo and then you can go to page edition and check how individual sections/elements were made.
The only thing we can give you from our side is an exported content that is coded in string http://pastie.org/10942808 but you need to know that under this string the paths for all images are linking to our servers and also using this code, media wouldn't import.
I don't understand how the pages are structured. When I go to "pages" it shows a link for the "home" page. If I click on that it shows text and visual views. If I click on the text view, it shows what looks sort of like HTML. Why can't I get the original code and paste it there?
Please show us on screenshot/s how it looks like because maybe we are talking about something different than you do. Or it would be much better if you will send us dashboard access privately thru contact form which is on the right side at http://themeforest.net/user/muffingroup#contact so we can have a look. Please don’t forget to let us know what for the access is.
