How to add full page background?

Hi,

We have just set up this page: http://www.spicers.co.uk/alliancelaunch/

Although on most screen sizes the background looks like all the same, it is in fact made up of two background elements. The top part is background in Revolution Slider and the background behind the form and title is added in the Muffin section. Is there anywhere one can choose a background that will cover both header area and content area without having to do it in the general settings so it applies for all pages. We can't find anywhere on an individual page where you can set a background like that, but surely there must be a way?

Hi,

you can do this by setting background image and transparency for all possible layout parts under Theme options > Global > General section.

That doesn't work in relation to what I asked. My question was can you have a background that automatically covers header and the content area on just one individual page? The setting you refer to is a global setting and actually doesn't even change the content background, but only the background behind the box that contains the content.

Isn't it http://pasteboard.co/gQTPfYczX.png what you ask for? This is the first demo we picked up from our list and what we get by doing what you told you above. We thought that this is what you are looking for.

That look is exactly what I'm looking for. But not on the whole website, only on a single page. Editing in the Global options will change things for the whole website... But maybe it's not possible then for a single page?

That's a shame. I really hope you will consider adding that feature on each page settings at some point, so it's possible to set up. It would be an amazing feature to create special customised landing pages inside a website and not having to use the same layout on all pages.

Sure, we may consider it when we will get more requests about it and when we finish features and fixes that currently await in queue. Please understand that we can not add any feature you just want because lot’s of users uses poor hosting services and more options/features means higher server requirements. So if we will do necessary tests and decide that it does not charge server resources to much, then we will consider adding it of course.
