Google verification file - where does it go?

Hi there. Can you please tell me where I upload the Google HTML verification file (or paste the code)? The only place that looks vaguely right is BeTheme Options > SEO > Google Anaytics. But that doesn't seem to work.

Since I've been using BeTheme, Google is showing a snippet (meta description) for my home page (www.write-for-business.com) from many, many years ago. I've changed it several times since. What's going on?

Google verification file need to be uploaded directly via FTP. More details about it you can find on https://support.google.com/a/answer/63026?hl=en under HTML file method tab.

Thank you for that. I see what I have to do now. Unfortunately, I get an error message at the last step, so I'll contact my web host and see if they can help.
