Social icons and footer menu

How can I show both the social icons AND a menu in the "social media bottom?" As it is, I can show one or the other. I need to show both. What do I need to do?

I've managed to do a quick and dirty test for this.

Simply create a custom link next to your page or post links. I found that you can add the name of your social link in "Navigation Label" box, then put the name of your icon in the "CSS Classes" box (i.e. icon-xing). Unfortunately it has to show the icon and the name and it doesn't do that fancy hover effect but you get the general idea.

Be sure to click the options button at the top of your menu page and check all of the extra menu options you need.
