Portfolio Slider

I would like to make a portfolio slider that only shows 1 item at a time but allows the user to scroll through different projects. However, when I put "1" in it disables the scrolling option and when I put more than 1(2,3,4,etc.) it shows that amount of items instead. Am I missing something?

no, you do not miss anything. It is just impossible to set just 1 portfolio per slider item.
