Retina Images besides logo?

What is the proper way to get retina images to display on retina screens that are added to the content area of the site.

I see a spot for two logo url's but can this be done for other images on the site besides the logo.?

If so whats the proper way to add them?

Ok thank you. So if i understand correctly all you have to do is insert the first image in the page and as long as you have a second one in the library @2x it will pick it up and replace it on retina screens?

Also does this work if you are using S3 for your images.. Thank you

Yes, this is all you need to do. This solution works for screens with retina displays so we have no idea if this will work on S3.

I just meant images hosted on S and not in the wp library? I will be using W3 Total cache to mirror image files and css etc.. on Amazon cloud front.

So this probably won't work. This feature works only with self-hosted images as it has been described in the documentation.
