Margin/gap under subheader

Hello guys!

Where do you change the gap/margin that appears under the subheader? I'd like to remove this completely, so that there's no gap after the subheader.

  • Hi,

    please send us link to page where you got this gap so we can have a look on it.
  • Thanks so much for getting back to me! Amazing as usual.

    1. http://emikkelsen.com/contact/ so it is right there in the top, there's a small gap between Contact and the map, and if I create any other sites it's the same thing. I want to know how to remove that margin.

    2. Is it possible to make the text and the stuff it says in the contact forms white? It's a little hard to read it all on the black background.

    3. I also have a few more fast questions if that's okay, I'd appreciate it a lot. Is there a way to make the search bar black on white instead of white on black on all pages except the frontpage? You already helped me make it white on the frontpage and it looks so good, but because the backgrounds are white on my other sites I need it black with white text on all sites except homepage where I want to keep the white on black.

    4. My footer looks really funny. I tried to copy the cool one from one of your other themes, but it doesn't look the same the margins are very different. If you look at the bottom of www.emikkelsen.com you can see it, is there any way to put it all a little more towards the middle like all your cool footers? Like it's a bit too far to the left.

    5. On the frontpage I have the two boxes and two pictures that say Embrace Creativity and Data is beautiful. I have tried everything with the margins and editting but I can't make it all close. I want it to be like http://paramoredigital.com where they're in one square without any space or white in between. So in other words is there a way to move the space/white/margin between the boxes and put them all right against each other?

    Thank you SO MUCH in advance. I hope it is not too much to ask, if it is i'm super sorry. As always go be theme thanks so much.

  • 1. It's Content Padding which can be disabled under Theme options > Global > Advanced section.

    2. Contact form colors can be changed under Theme options > Colors > Forms section.

    3. Do you mean to make search bar black background with white text inside on inner pages? Is that what you mean?

    4. The only way to center footer widgets would be the following css:
    #Footer .widgets_wrapper .column { text-align: center !important; }
    5. To do this, you need to set FULL WIDTH NO MARGIN style for the section.

    Wow. Thanks so much.. You guys are incredible.

    1. Worked perfect thanks!
    2. Ahh amazing, thank you so much!
    3. Yeah exactly. So I want it to be white background with black text on frontpage, and black background with white text on inner/all other pages.
    4. Thanks so much!! It looks a lot better now that it is centered. But I'd still like for the actual text to be normal. I just wanted it all moved towards the middle. Is there any way to keep it in the middle but have the text be normal? Now all the text is centered, so the menu points that are longer than the others look a little funny. Does this make any sense? Sorry if I'm bad at explaining. Basically I'd just like to have the titles (Digital Marketing, Original Designs, Information centered, but the points under normal. Like here http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/fireplace/ you have all the stuff in the middle of the footer, but the text is still aligned normal/to the left.
    5. Thanks a lot!!!
    6. I've centered everything in the top menu with CSS but the search button, the action button and the logo is still in the sides, is there any way to center this too? :)

    Really thank you so much for the help guys, from the bottom of my heart!

  • 3. Ok. So to change search colors on inner pages, please use:
    body:not(.home) #Top_bar .search_wrapper input[type="text"] {
        color: #FFF !important;
        background: #000;
    }
    body:not(.home) #Top_bar .search_wrapper .icon_search {
        left: 18px;
        color: rgba(255,255,255,.5);
    }
    4. Yes, we understand but what you can see on http://themes.muffingroup.com/be/fireplace/ is how the widgets looks like by default. We didn't changed anything in this footer because we simply do not have such option included.

    6. Sorry but we do not understand how exactly you want to center it because on our side all looks fine. Maybe you can send us a screenshot with necessary changes so we can understand it.

    Wow.. You guys are incredible. So much help thank you. Damn!

    3. body:not(.home) #Top_bar .search_wrapper input[type="text"] {
        color: #FFF !important;
        background: #000;
    }
    body:not(.home) #Top_bar .search_wrapper .icon_search {
        left: 18px;
        color: rgba(255,255,255,.5);

    Does not work it is still white on inner pages. I added it now you can see it on www.emikkelsen.com. I already have this CSS for the frontpage, is this causing any errors? #Top_bar .search_wrapper input[type="text"] { color: #000 !important; }

    4. Ok I see that makes perfect sense. Is there a way to use the Fireplace widget/import the Fireplace widget to my webpage so that I have the same?

    6. http://www.apple.comhttps://grafikr.dk. These are good examples. It drags everything toward the middle. In my menu I got CSS so it puts all the menu stuff in the middle, but the action button, search button and logo is still in the side. Is it in any way possible for custom CSS to center EVERYTHING? That would be so cool, I see it a lot on webpages today. So everything is towards the middle not just the menu but also the logo+search button+action button.

    Most important to me is the number 6 but idk if that is possible at all? :)
  • 3. Where did you put this css?  Because we did checked it on our side and it works fine. If you put it under Theme options > Custom CSS & JS > Custom CSS section and it does not work, please move above css on 1st position because you may have bugs in custom css section and that's why any css below doesn't work.

    4. Sorry but we do not have any option to import individual stuff. If you would like to know how we did it exactly, please create extra WP instance and import that demo. This is the easiest and fastest way to learn how things were done.

    6. Ok, we see what you mean. However, we do not have any css rule to make what you need. The logo, menu and right top bar are totally different div's and to make all in the middle, it is necessary to modify theme files.
  • Ok thank you a lot! I will try to play around with the custom CSS for the search bar, it is still having some issues, but I am sure I will figure it out. Thanks so much for your time and all your hard work. I just have one last question, is there a way to hide logo on frontpage but keep it everywhere else? So it shows 0 logo on frontpage.
  • Yes, it is possible but requires custom css as well:
    .home #Top_bar .logo { display: none !important; }
  • THANKS!! Have a good day!!!
