How to change portfolio page background color?

I want to change background-color oder background-image of a usual portfolio overview page (for example with Masonry Hover Details Layout).
What css or settings I have to use?

please send us link to page where you would like to change this color and also would be great if you can show us on the screenshot which part of background you want to change so we can avoid confuse.

You can make a layout and then use the layout ID to apply it to all portfolios in theme options>blog,portfolio&shop>portfolio

Layouts let you completly change a page look, including the header style and colors, menu, logo etc. http://prntscr.com/h1eola

I checked. Under Layout, it cannot do any background colour modification. Do I need to use CSS to change the background color?

But you can set a backgroun image. So you could place a simple png image with your color and repeat it. The image could be 5x5px

The background color of the main blog page, is the "Content background"

It's in the Theme Options > Colors > General
