Exclude category from blog page, how to exclude the category filter?

I found it easy to exclude a category from a blog page in the betheme options for the blog, but it doesn't automatically remove that category from the filters. Is there a code to remove that same category (its-wired) from the filters on the page? http://wiredforward.wpengine.com/case-studies/

Sorry but we do not have any suggestion unfortunately because this requires files customization.

Hi,
sorry but this is not possible. You can only exclude categories when using our shortcodes/builer items.

Has this been fixed in release 20.2 -

The Theme Options > Blog page settings has a "Exclude Categories" but it does not appear to be excluding any category (slugs names) from the list of category filter names or on the grid page itself.

are you using a default blog page or just a page with a blog item. This will not work with items.
