Is it possible to add a single product via shortcode or a "block" (described in section 4.2 Muffin Builder) on a certain place?

With single product I mean with image, title and price which should be updated if I change the price in the store.

Like the 4.2.36 Shop Slider but for only one product

Great!

I've added four "columns" in a wrap which is in a section and added [product id="99"] into the columns. But the product do not use the full width of the columns. It looks like it only use 50% of the horizontal space.

I'm using the demo shop

It is of because this code. but what happens if I change that code? Is it because the are three products on a category page?

Solution: Add this [products ids="99" columns="1"] instead of [products ids="99"] it the product is very narrow.
