Icons not displaying

Hi, most of the icons I try to use on my BeTheme site do not appear. In the dashboard areas like BeTheme Options > Getting Started > Shop > Cart Icon, they appear as Chinese characters / square boxes.
When I view a page's source code after adding an icon, this appears:

<i class="icon- icon-">&nbsp;</i>

The site is running on Wordpress Multisite.

Do you know what the issue might be?

Oddly enough, when I insert the following icons, icons-user and icon-cog display, but not the three others.

<p><i class="icon-user"></i> 15 Person Capacity</p>
<p><i class="icon-cog"></i> Built-in HD LCD Monitor</p>
<p><i class="icon-desktop"></i> Built-in Mac Mini with internet access</p>
<p><i class="icon-facetime-video"></i> Built-in Cisco teleconferencing codec</p>
<p><i class="icon-laptop"></i> HDMI and VGA inputs for external devices</p>
