What is the Templates post type?

There is a post type in the left menu called Templates, but I don't see anything in the documentation regarding this. What are these used for?

Hi,
this is section where you can make pre-built templates and then easily and quick add them to existing pages using Templates green button in the right bottom corner of Muffin Builder.
