Issues with IE and Safari

I am creating a website for a client using BE Theme.

The site looks fine in Firefox and Chrome, However in IE and Safari:

1. The front page blog "Post Grid" element does not load.

2. The front page "Media Grid" is not loading images.

3. The backgrounds are not stretching to full screen.

Have you ever run across this bug? Any suggestions as to how to resolve?

We have checked on every possible browser and it works fine, is this problem still occurring to you?

Try to clear the browser cache?

Yes, I've cleared the cache. Still having the problem. I am attaching two screenshots to show the issue:

My programmer checked and is having the same problem with IE and Safari. He adds:

"I can see in web inspector that the HTML appearing inside <div
class=”the_content_wrapper”> that has the background color
that you see on
the left and right in most browsers, does not appear in Safari."

It's a little frustrating that you cannot see the problem that we are seeing. Here is what we are seeing on Safari 5.1 and IE 11.576 – both on a PC.



I’ve attached a screenshot from IE 11 which shows the
problem and another screenshot from Chrome where I’ve highlighted the
div in the code inspector that creates the background
color – the one that is not appearing in IE 11 or Safari 5.1.
