Home page won't show some of my theme customization

I made changes in Be Theme Options > Fonts > size and style. mainle the paragraph text (<p>)
The changes are now showing on my home page: http://691.6a3.myftpupload.com/
but the changes DO show on other pages such as: http://691.6a3.myftpupload.com/services/

I looked at the source code to see if the templates were different, even though when I edit a page the same template is chosen in the selection area on the right of the dashboard.

I looked at source code and I see this template info for HOME page:
<body class="home page-template-default page page-id-84 logged-in admin-bar no-customize-support template-slider color-custom style-default layout-full-width nice-scroll-on button-flat no-content-padding hide-love header-classic minimalist-header sticky-header sticky-white ab-show subheader-both-center menuo-no-borders logo-no-sticky-padding mobile-tb-hide mobile-mini-mr-ll">

any clues there?

The source code for the SERVICES page had this source code:
<body class="page-template-default page page-id-85 logged-in admin-bar no-customize-support color-custom style-default layout-full-width nice-scroll-on button-flat hide-love header-classic minimalist-header sticky-header sticky-white ab-show subheader-both-center menuo-no-borders logo-no-sticky-padding mobile-tb-hide mobile-mini-mr-ll">

So does that help?

I hope someone can help.

Thank you.

  • Hi,

Please open your website in Firefox html mode (CTRL+U) and check html errors you got. Please fix them first and all should be fine.

P.S. Anticipating your question, yes, those errors are not associated with theme and were made by you or one of your extra plugins.

    Thanks!
  • Thanks,
But ARE those errors? I just saw the different template info and think this MIGHT be what's wrong. Was I correct?
What difference is opening the file in Firefox HTML? I just see the same information but I still don't know how to fix it.
The demo site has the same <p> text on the home page. I changed the settings in Appearance > BeTheme Options and the other pages changed, but not the Home page.
    Hope you can help more.
    Meg
  • The only plugin I have used is Slider revolution.
The only changes I have made were directly into Appearance > BeTheme options or muffin builder fields. I have not created or changed templates or changes any css code directly. What could I have changed to make this happen?
  • You added the fonts in the header the wrong way. Please delete them and add them again using either theme options or copying the link form google fonts.
  • Thank you , but I have just spent 30 minutes trying to figure out what you mean.

I added fonts? The fonts i added for this site were fonts I uploaded. Is that what you mean?
I uploaded fonts but not 'in the header'.

And the fonts are for all pages so why would it only be different on home page?

In the header? there is no place to work with fonts in the header section of BeTheme options.
So I dont' know what you are talking about. and I did not change any html or add any .css.
I hope you are able to help more.

    Thank you,
    Meg

  • Open your code in the browser and find the google link to your fonts, when you click it, it should redirect you to the font site, on your page it justs shows an error. This is what I mean.
Try it out and tell us what happens.
  • Yes, that is what happened. I get an error message. I see that, but you did not give any advice as to how I can fix it.
the same thing on all the pages, so why is the font only displaying incorrectly on the home page, and not all the pages?
I did delete the font and then reload them and no change.
I hope you still can help

  • Please do not tell us you reloaded the fonts since nothing has changed in your code. You have fonts pasted like this:

Which is totally wrong, you probably filled the field subset located in
    theme options>fonts>family
It is the bottom field, please read the description to this field. Better leave it blank.
  • yes. i filled the subset field. i did reload the fonts and changed things and then put it back to the way it was since i didnt fix it.
So don't call me a liar and I am not impressed that you give advice such as 'You added the fonts in the header the wrong way'. this is a wordpress theme. I am using because I don't want to edit the html code. I added the fonts in the BeTheme options according to fields that were there.

so, when you finally talked to me about your own theme interface, IT WORKED yay! If the field should stay blank, why have it there, or have more info.
    case closed. thank you,
  • The field is supposed to be filled with subset latin or latin-ext etc.
When you pick a robot font you cannot set a lato subset...
