Hide the content option

HI,

Could anyone please explain what exactly the

'Hide The Content - Hide the content from the WordPress editor'

option does in Muffin Builder?
Obviously it removes the standard Wordpress content panel but is this just for a less confusing view when using Muffin Builder or are there other reasons?

Hi,

Hide content is for plugins like Yoast SEO. When you create content with the muffin builder you can use the builder>>SEO, it's located as a tab in the WordPress editor.

It copies the whole content from the builder to the editor in WordPress. To hide it from users you use this option 'hide the content'. Then plugins like Yoast will see the hidden content but the user will see only the builder content.

Hi,

The hide content feature does not 100% hide content from users.

Be aware that the blog description will show editor content only regardless if, 'hide content' is on or not - e.g. http://g.recordit.co/zU4DScBHdF.gif

Hi @pablo,
Yep - all plugins inactive. The hide content is not working for the blog page description.

I believe your muffin builder - item - blog is using the content editor to generate the 'posts' preview.

Any fix? this is quite annoying

Theme is 100% updated - hide the content = on - all plugins deactivated. Description shows from WP content text area....

Hi,

It's not working like this.

Hide the Content hide all the content while entering this page.

It won't hide a excerpt for you, if you want to change it, please

open a screen options (on top of the website) and turn on the excerpt field.

Then, while editing post, fill this field with text you want or hide it with CSS.
