Widget "Muffin Recent Posts" and WPML?

Hello,

I use the plugin WPML for translated/translating content to other languages.

I included the widget "Muffin Recent Posts" into the footer, but when I switch to english, there is no content at all, although the posts are translated into english already.

How can I achieve this?

PS I already did a little research, I found https://wpml.org/forums/topic/recent-posts-widget/, but it does not solve my problem.
