image sizes for the subcategory page

Hey all,


I've tried to have a good look around but don't seem to be able to find the right image size for the subcategory images? I tried to snag it which comes up saying 285x285 but the images look terrible.

    The image look pretty nice to me, althoug you can set the size of the images in theme options>blog,portfolio&shop>featured image. Remember to read the notice about thumbnail regeneration at the bottom.
    Upload better resolution pictures.

    That's what I am trying to find out.. what is the ideal res for me to upload? (IT's for the submenu page)

    It does not matter what res you upload (of course it is better to upload nice quality images that are good quality 1280px and more in width. Wordpress will take the image and make couple of copies in different sizes and the use it in specific places.
