Display page title over slider

Hi,

i have following page header https://www.sulzenauhuette.at/en/contact/ there is the title placed and rendered as the customer requirements do say.
As was capable to do the same styling with older version of Layerslider/Betheme by using CSS Code - since updates i have trouble get the same look and functionality. IE & Edge don't show menu & title, Firefox and Chrome are displaying both - but menu isn't functional.

The reason why the page title should be displayed over the slider is: the web site is multilingual and the slider is a simple picture slide show. If i would put the page title into the slide, i would have to copy the slides for different titles, and also a big effort would be to put the title on each slide.
Untile now i simple produced "simple sliders" with nice title rendered from the current language/page - this was a very convincing efficient way to do the web site.

Now the title is rendered below the slider, wich looks a Little bit odd https://www.sulzenauhuette.at/en/things-to-do/

Can you please help me out, to get that style back again? Maybe cross browser functional?

BR und thanks
Georg

  • Hi Georg,

as we can see, you have 2 different things: Layer Slider and Subheader. We have no idea what you did in the past but Subheader can not overlay the layer slider so if you want to have title on layer slider, you should put the title as layer on that slider. We are sorry but we do not have other solution to make it possible.

We've noticed, you use cache and some 3rd party plugins so if you have any issues with menu (to be honest we didn't noticed anything wrong and everything seems to be fine on our side) we suggest to start from disabling those parts.
  • Hi,

Ok I do understand, that this is very specific topic on which I don't get support.
    That is ok for me.
What i did before to get it done, I am a software developer (SharePoint specialist) - so i wrote CSS to move it above.

I always thought about that requirement, that it is quite usefull and that it could be usefull for other customers of the betheme as well.

I think, also that one browser Problems layes in the normal public version of Microsoft Edge of "Creators Updates" which does some things different than the older versions.

You may understand, that a 3rd Party Plugin to optimize CSS and Caching is an absolut must for achiving good Google rankings
    ;)

    Thanks for looking into it
