removing the link to the single portfolio page

With the portfolio items when clicking on the image or on the link icon that appears when hovering over a image on the portfolio page you go to the single portfolio page. Is it possible to turn this of in some way. So only the magnifying glass en the external link are options. And also when clicking the image that it will not link to the single portfolio page.

I don't like the way the single portfolio page looks with all the meta info, little hart, dates,admin etc etc. It is just to busy. So i want to link to a regular normal page that i can fill the way i want.
