one page with links

Hello, 

I would like to leave my menu guide over the header on the first page. When the button is pressed, the menu should scroll to the corresponding topic. In the topic, a button is to be integrated (read more) over which the user reaches a bottom with more information. However, the menu navigation of the first page does not yet work. Can you please list the individual settings that have to be used for this?

I would like the links of the main menu to the start page to lead to certain sections (WORK to the pictures on the homepage, CONTACT ME to the end of the homepage). If someone is looking for a picture, it will come up with a structure of the page underneath it (as it is at the moment with the links.) The reason is that there is already some information on the homepage , Click on the picture or the link "read more", I hope you can understand my idea.

Ok, I understand now. I will give you an example:

If you have a section with an ID= test and it is on a contact page, you need to create the link like this:

/contact#test

This way the link will open the contact page and scroll down to the test ID

I hope this is what you were asking for.

My problem is on the page "Home". On the page "Home" you should scroll down. (You press "about me" in the head and it should scroll down to "about me" on the start page). Do you understand my problem?

But your website is not a one page, it redirects to the about-me page, if you want a one page then replace the links in the menu to links with ID anchors. Remember to add a custom ID to the section you want to scroll to.

You need to add custom ID's to the sections on your page. The links should look like this:

#home not /#home

Just link each menu element to the coresponding ID on the page.

You are passing the ID in the background field, this will not work.

Please create a new menu, use Custom link and pass the ID's there.

Then save the menu and go to manage locations to set this menu as the primary one. You are using a split menu so you will have to create two menus and set the primary and the secondary menu. More info about menu creation is here:http://themes.muffingroup.com/betheme/documentation/#menu

Ok, I do not know how to explain this so I made you a screenshot tutorial, step by step.

1. Go to menus and create a new menu - http://prnt.sc/f2v9he

2. Name the menu and add a custom link with the ID anchor you will use later(do not use spaces). Add to menu - http://prnt.sc/f2v9th

3. When the menu item is added to the menu, save and go to Manage Locations - http://prnt.sc/f2vafb

4. You have a split menu, so you have to set a left menu (main menu) and a right menu (secondary menu) Basically you need to create two menus for this - http://prnt.sc/f2vba9

5. You go to your main page, you see the new link but when you click nothing happens? No worries, it is because the link has to know where to scroll, to do this edit the page. - http://prnt.sc/f2vc36

Perfect for a beginner described! ;-) Only wr I already diligently and have the old menu in the meantime deleted. I've done your steps now. But my menu on the starside is gone! The smaller one is only visible when scrolling.

Ahh ok, I had only to re-link the links of the pages to the menu. I hope it was only this mistake!

No, unfortunately not. :-((

 I've changed the link from image (...) as you've written. If I now press "WORK", the old page "WORK" will be opened again by the theme "snapshot".
