But we are trying to edit the WooCommerce cart because the standard one is so ugly. We found a really cool design, and the only thing we need for it to work is to:
Set a custom
class called “custom-checkout” to your checkout shortcode. This is done
differently depending on what theme you are using, so you will have to
search around for this if you are unsure.
Is there any way you could help us understand how we can set that custom class in BeTheme for WooCommerce?

What you ask for, requires files customization what in reference to Item Support Policy is not allowed. So if you want to modify files and don't know how, you should contact with your web developer. Item Policy clearly says:
