Cannot change anything in style.css

Hello. I cannot change anything in style.css. I tried from appearance - editor but nothing changes. I add custom classes to elements and then try to change the style, but it doesn't work. It was OK before.

Hi,
We do not support direct file changes, if you want to add css please use theme options>custom css&js>css
Maybe you installed some cache, or the browser cache is the problem. Please check it.

this is strange, because i already made changes to the style.css file in the child theme and it worked ...

Sometimes the browser cache holds the old css. Just clear it.
