Classic Layout featured image location on blog page

Hi Muff-divers,

I was hoping you could help me out with a layout change on my main blog page.

I would like to have my blog entries listed in a single column like the classic layout as

opposed to the masonry layout.

But, I really would like the image to be located above the excerpt. I thought the 

VC Custom Teaser would allow me to do this, but it doesn't seem to take effect.

Any help would be muy appreciated.

unfortunately we do not have this kind of layout for blog page, but we'll consider it while future updates.
