How to custom copyright text?

In Muffin Options > Footer > Copyright field, I couldn't use <?php echo date("Y"); ?> to display the current year. It doesn't display. Any ideas?

Hi,
it does not work because you cannot pass PHP code into a HTML field in the theme options. You would have to edit theme files to do that.
