How do I reduce the opacity of the masonry tiles background such as in:-

Hi,
this would be not possible since this is a image background, see here:

.masonry.tiles .post-item:not(.no-img) .post-desc-wrapper .post-desc {
	background: url(../images/blog_masonry_tile_gradient.png) top left repeat-x;

Can I reduce the size of the image background instead? Maybe reduce the height to make it less shadowy.
