update theme and WP

I need to update my theme and wp to the newst version, problem is, I have no idea what is changed in present theme version which is currently on website, and i am afraid that after update something will go wrong and make my site unusable.

is there any chance that you help me with this?

Hi,
If you are afraid something will go wrong then please make a backup.
If you have not changed the them files directly then nothing should change.
