hi guys is there a way to create a custom sidebar for a specific page or should i download an external plugin?

Hi,

you do not need to. Just go to theme options>sidebars and create your sidebar, then go to appaerance>widgets and place some widgets in the newly created sidebar.

After you do that, you can edit your page and set the sidebar in the page options.
