Picture Item Image Size

I use the picture item on my site. Four pictures in a row (four picture items). Every picture has a optional size (540 x 540 px). But on my website the picture size isn´t 540 x 540 px. The pictures have the original proportions… ?

The last picture has completly diffrent proportions. It cannot look the same unless you crop it to the same size.

Yes, this is the Item. I thought, when I give every picture the same size in the backend the Item scaled the pictures automatically?

No, it will squash the image if you set the dimensions manually. You can set the featured images size but it only works for some builder elements, blog,portoflio &shop, not for normal images.
