Selecting a template in Muffin Builder is auto-publishing blog posts

Hello.  We have a template for blog posts, and when selecting that template within Muffin Builder, the blog post instantly publishes.  We would like to stop that behavior and ensure that the blog post ONLY publishes when we hit the "publish" button in WordPress. 

Can someone let us know how to accomplish this?  Is this action occurring because the template itself has a status of "Published" ?

Hi,
this is normal, the page has to save to load the template. Please set the post first as a draft, http://prntscr.com/g2w8g5, and then make changes. After you are done, you can publish it.

I'm having the same issue. 

Even after the post is set to be a draft the system automatically publishes it when the template is applied. Is there a fix for this?
