Adding code into the codeelement in muffin builder does not work

I tried adding this code to the codeelement in the muffin builder:

}But it sadly just displays the code on the page and does not convert it to a button. My question is therefore: Why does not this code work, how does the code element in the muffin builder work and which codes can you implement?

this is not working since this is CSS not HTML, this item is for custom HTML.
you can place the css into theme options>custom css&js>css
