Add custom content to a Layout

Hello!

i understand the concept of layouts and template but i have to create a layout with a template inside:

i would to insert a custom content with muffin builder (so a template part) on a layout for all portfolio items.

So when i modify this custom content (template) all the portfolio items will update.

I hope I explained myself

Hi,
The changes will take place using the layouts, for example changing from full width to boxed. But it will not work with templates since they only import the existing builer content to the page.

What do you mean exactly with trick? 

You can use the sidebar item in the builder to create a widget area and then only make changes in appaerance>widgets.
