Multilanguage plugin - alternative to WPML?

Hi, 
i am using bethemes and i like a lot. Just one thing, that is really annoying at the moment. 
WPML is recommended for multilanguage websites. This plugin is really expensive (at least 80$) and i did buy the lifetime version (for almost 200$), but I am wondering, because it is not user-friendly at all. Is there another multilanguage plugin, which works well with bethemes? It does not need to be that big like WPML.
