I´m trying to figure out how to create a portfolio section for one-page layout style and use the jquery filtering feature, also specify a category to show only 8 boxes on the grid, to keep my one page not too long... Any idea of how can we achieve that?
if you mean to use jQuery filtering with pagination at the same time, then it is technically not possible. Both features are completely not compatible.
You can only show them all on one page (and then jQuery filtering will work) or also instead of of jQuery filtering you can use just pagination if you have so many portfolio items. Both possibilities are ok in our opinion.

2) now I´m trying to test jquery filtering way, but I cant figure out how to insert this on a section. I need to insert a flat style portfolio section and setup to start showing a specific category.
We forgot that you want jQuery. Sorry. So if you want portfolio page with jQuery filtering then none of those items have this feature. This filter option is reserved only for portfolio pages where you got only portfolio on page. This is how jQuery filtering works.
