empty line at the end of the functions.php

I am noticing an empty line at the end of the functions.php and I believe it is causing some issues with my site. Should I manually remove this from the functions.php file inside the "BeTheme" parent directory, the child directory, or both?

And is there a specific reason that the file has the empty line in it? Was it intentional?

what do you mean, if this is just a normal blank line then there is no option that this is causing problems.

Another WP plugin is throwing an error and says that it is sometimes caused by an extra line of whitespace in the functions.php file. I checked the functions file in the BeTheme folder and there is an extra whitespace at the end.

The plugin is Yoast SEO and the XML sitemap is not working. Here was the article that says to remove the extra whitespace.

Please send a link from our xml files in the demo files. We do not have such problems on any of our pre-built website. This could be caused by some third party plugins.

If you do know where the problem lies, please edit the function.php file and make the changes yourself, then see if it helped. If it really is a theme malfunction then we will be happy to fix it.
