Compressing images

Hi, my website is: [Links visible only for registered users] 

I am trying to improve my Google PageSpeed score. One of the suggestions is:

Optimize images

Properly formatting and compressing images can save many bytes of data.

Optimize the following images [Links visible only for registered users] to reduce their size by 11.2KiB (75% reduction).

• Compressing and resizing [Links visible only for registered users]…content/uploads/2017/10/AgiFall-Logo.png could save 7.7KiB (70% reduction).
• Compressing [Links visible only for registered users]…betheme/images/fancy_heading_hr_dark.png could save 2.7KiB (91% reduction).
• Compressing [Links visible only for registered users]…s/betheme/images/stripes/stripes_3_b.png could save 857B (87% reduction).

I am trying to find these two images from Betheme, but they are not in my media section... Where can I find them to compress them?

Hi,

Those are the theme files, they will not be visible via media. You have to open them via FTP, just follow the file path.

How do I open them via FTP? Not sure how that works.

Could you provide me with more information about this? Godaddy was unable to help me. 

Just trying to compress these two images to decrease the lag time.

HI,
sorry but we cannot help you with accessing your FTP, you will have to ask your hosting provider. Since godaddy is a cheap hosting company we doubt they will halp you in any way.

Any suggestions on hosting providers that work well with Betheme? If you have a couple of options, that would be fantastic.

Sorry but we cannot recommend any hosting providers. Be sure to avoid the cheap 1$ hosting plans.
